The food and wine tour that we propose will be conducted by a gourmet journalist and cooking enthusiast in Ortigia. Writer of various magazines in the sector, food critic for the global movement, Slow Food Sicily, Damiano is a special person, everyone respects him and loves him for his affable character that manages to put anyone at ease. Or you'll meet Alessia, professional chef and owner of the restaurante  " Vistrò that's buono" in via Tommaso Gargallo n 24, in Ortigia. During the hours you spend together, if you wish, Damiano will also advise you where to go shopping, buying the best gastronomic products in the city, but not only. You will start the tour from the Ortigia market, where they will offer you the first tasting of typical products, among the best in Sicily and the first two glasses of wine. Then you will continue the tour through the market and while walking, they'll explain to you the Sicilian cooking tradition and also some recipes! The tuor will continue to discover some small inns, which are not tourist destinations but small gatherings for the locals. There you can taste some typical Sicilian seasonal recipes and delight yourself with other two glasses of good wine! The tour will end with the discovery of typical Sicilian desserts, such as cannoli, gelato, ricotta cassata, which of course will be accompanied by a good glass of dessert wine and excellent espresso and limoncello!

The cost will be of 110€uro all inclusive for person in private. Tha kids will pay what they will eat!

Itinerary

The food and wine tour will begin in the morning sections from the Ortigia street market. Then it will continue through the central streets of the wonderful island of Ortigia up to Piazza Duomo. During the summer afternoons instead the tour will undergo changes to be able to visit the seafront cafes.
