Aside from its engineering difficulties, the tower is a magnificent example of Romanesque architecture, composed of band after band of harmonious blind arcading. The day trip to Florence & Pisa usually starts at 8AM.

The driver will be right under the ship holding a sign with your last name on it. The first stop will be Pisa to see the famous leaning tower. The drive to Florence is about 1h, once arrived you will meet an official local guide who will go off with you on a 3hrs private walking tour, including the Accademia Gallery, in order to help you skipping lines and give you all the historical information regarding the beautiful highlights of Florence like the David, the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. 

At 4PM you will leave Florence in order to go back to the ship with a stop along the way to Pisa to visit the famous leaning tower. Your driver will constantly monitor time in order to have you back the ship by 5PM at the latest.
